Across these six songs, Scandale au Paradis builds an intimate mythology populated by a dance goddess, colonizing doves, a glowing UFO, a ghost town, an imaginary friend, and a love dreaming of eternity.
All of these characters and worlds ultimately answer the exact same question: what do we do when reality is no longer enough, when it confines us or takes something away from us?
We invent.
A god to learn how to dance. Another world to be able to exist. A friend to be saved. A town to find one's roots. A love large enough to defy death.
In Scandale au Paradis, imagination is therefore not an escape: it is an act of freedom. And perhaps that is precisely where the scandal begins; when we decide that the world as it is will not be the only possible world.
